Changes and Spring time!

Oh my goodness!
I am so embarrassed at how long it has taken for me to post something.... we have just been so busy around here! So here is what has been going on the last few months -
Thanksgiving came and went and as December rolled around, we found ourselves scrambling to move into our new house. We love it and were so eager as a new couple to have some place to call our own. Oh how we've quickly learned how expensive and challenging a new(used) home can be. It's urs and we love it -  as we love our neighborhood and our ward. I tried so hard at Christmas to decorate the house.....and our harshest winter yet came snowing and snowing and snowing in.
I had a job at a call center until about 4 weeks ago, when I suddenly decided it was just not for me. So I looked and found a daycare teaching position that I just fell in love with - and made it mine. :) Tyler, of course, is still working steadily at LOWES in the lumber dept. and loves it. On occasion, I stop by before my shift at the daycare and watch him wow the customers.I'm so proud of how hard he works.
In early February, we decided to add two more pets, making the count to four. We added a female schnauzer named Lady Spinelli (after Lady and the Tramp and the rough and tumble girl from the cartoon Recess) and a hamster named Blanch (after the golden girls). lol. Our house is now full of life more than ever with some girls to even the score.
March came and went and the weather tricked us into thinking it was spring, but by the end of the month we had more snow. Tyler kept the faith and kept trying to start one of many gardening projects we have had planned for the year - despite the harsh weather delays.
Easter was spent with the Adair family - my cousin for those of you who don't know...and was pleasant. We enjoy the many family members we see whether from his side or from mine. We have had many chances to invite his mom and dad (Gerry and Christy) into our new home, Tyler's brother Mike  and brother and wife (Robbie and Amy). It's been fun as most of my family has stopped by either for tours or to help decorate or unpack. I think despite some challenges of owning a pre-used home, we have learned a lot. I have watched Tyler battle it out with countless ants living in our walls or late nights with him learning by youtube videos the step by steps of how to fix a garage door. I have also learned more about cooking and cleaning than I ever have before.
It's now almost through April..... and we are so excited to have our first summer in our home. We both have weekends off - which makes it amazing. In down time we do many things, watch movies, play the Wii, exercise, go to the occasional ball game, and spend time with family.I've tried several new adventures - Ty has taught me to shoot and to fish.....yep, I even touched the fish myself and learned how to clean it. Not a lot has changed  - we just kept progressing. I will try harder to update more often..... and look forward to the comments. :)

-Happy Spring!
